Toronto’s PATH Network is the world’s largest underground retail complex. The network links office towers and provides connections to downtown transit stations and attractions.

New PATH maps and signage focus on simplifying navigation within the pedestrian network and getting people to major landmarks and neighbourhoods on the surface linking to the TO360 wayfinding system also designed by Steer for the City of Toronto.

The system is built around connector routes – continuous paths that allow users to navigate the entirety of the network – joining transportation hubs like Union Station to major destinations such as the CF Toronto Eaton Centre. Branch routes reveal retail and other amenities located off the connectors.

Static signage and maps are supported by kiosks and digital wayfinding screens, which provide a platform for live information and directions to special events in the network.
