About Design for Movement
We are an interdisciplinary team within Steer.
For over twenty years, we have applied user-centred design to the built environment and mobility needs, aiming to make our cities, transport systems, and public places more understandable, accessible, and enjoyable for all.
Design
Excellence in design stands at the core of our practice. We deliver wayfinding strategies and detailed design plans for pedestrian, transit and cycling networks in cities, parks and natural environments, campuses, mixed-use developments, sports events and cultural venues.
We have supported clients internationally in realizing ambitious design programs, from strategy and engagement to technical standards and implementation.
Mapping
We deliver cartographic outputs which help people plan journeys, make sustainable travel choices, and understand complex data and environments.
Our strength lies in translating data into focused, user-friendly mapping, ranging from simplified, inviting transit diagrams to data-driven, richly detailed geographic maps.
Data
We apply evolving design and analytical techniques to explain complex concepts and illustrate patterns, trends, and spatial relationships.
Data visualization can help to tell a story and create unique insights, through dashboards, interactive mapping and traditional reporting outputs
